After-School Creative Enrichment (ACE)

Fall Session October 18 - December 6

When: Wednesdays (Early Release)

Welcome to the Woodin PTA ACE (After-School Creative Enrichment) Program. A supplemental after school program on early release Wednesdays, this program has a variety of activities to choose from. There are 3 sessions throughout the year, mix and match or choose just one. These classes are a fun opportunity for your child to participate in courses that the school curriculum does not cover, growing their individual and team participation skills.

Note: there is an additional cost for these activities. (Scholarships available)

A Parent Volunteer is required in every class, they must be  a PTA Member.


The Art Workshop

The Art Workshop presents a fun-filled session of fine art projects including: Cartooning and Animation, Drawing and Shading, Watercolor Painting, Pastel Painting, Scrap Art, Acrylic Painting, and Sculpting! All supplies are included.

Tuition:  $105 (includes all materials) for 7 weeks - If paying by check make payable to: The Art Workshop

Parent volunteer absolutely needed - 50% off tuition for student. Must be a PTA Member.

Bricks 4 Kidz

These wheels are ready to roll! Students will use LEGO® Bricks, axles, pulleys, gears, motors and more to build a variety of models on wheels. Some are familiar vehicles, such as a fire engine and delivery truck. Other amazing models, such as the Rescue Robot and K-9 Bot, will give students more to learn. Do you have a need for speed? Put your Speed Bot model to the test as you race against others using remote controls! Explore concepts of speed and force, and gain non-vehicle knowledge from the unconventional Wheels in Motion models as well. Let's roll!

 *Bricks 4 Kidz does not provide transportation after class.

Students will explore various methods of hand building with natural clay. They will learn to sculpt, work with slabs and coils and glaze. Students will complete at least 4 projects. All materials are non-toxic.

Tuition:  $116 for 7 weeks (includes all materials and firings) Payment includes a nonrefundable registration fee of $5.

1-2 Parent volunteer(s) absolutely needed - 50% off tuition for student. Must be a PTA member.

Drama Kids

A place where you can be yourself! Drama Kids helps kids gain confidence, vocal skills, teamwork, leadership, creative problem solving, and so many more key life skills. Returning students will find exciting new challenges, and new students will learn the basics in a welcoming, team-oriented atmosphere. 

We will be working on the following: Improvisations, Mini-Scripts, Speaking Skills, Character Analysis, Theater Games, Creative Movement, and Performances.

Don’t miss this exciting and DRAMATIC class!

Tuition:  $138 for 7 weeks

Parent volunteer needed - Tuition credit of $100 for dedicated volunteer. Must be a PTA member.

The PIANO-KEYBOARD CLUB by Musical Minds

Kids will have the opportunity to learn to play their favorite songs and music on electric keyboards. Radio hits, movie and television themes are made so easy, that our participants will be playing them after the very first class! The club is a combination of keyboard piano lessons and a music learning workshop, which uses a clever visual method to teach the basics of music reading and piano playing. Students will learn through games and activities teach basic music reading skills and playing techniques that are FUN! All supplies are provided in class. All experience levels welcome!

Tuition:  $135 (All materials and Keyboards provided)

Shooting Stars Soccer by Overtime Athletics

Let's Play! Save the best for last by finishing up the school day with Sports Spectacular, a variety athletic program that features different sports throughout the session. Participants will practice skills and play games in both traditional sports and playground favorites. The Sports Spectacular Variety Program features the best list ever: Basketball, Soccer, Flag Football, Kickball, Capture the Flag, Wiffle Ball, Bump and Bite, Knights and Dragons, Numbers Game, Tag Games, Safe Base and MORE! OTA covers all the bases with our emphasis on playing, teamwork, sportsmanship, and fitness. Don't miss out on the FUN! Every child gets an OTA H.I.G.H. F.I.V.E.S. Participation Medal!!

Greater Seattle SURF Soccer Club

Please join us for this Soccer Skills Clinic. We will work with the kids on dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting, and small sided games. Having fun while working on our skills and learning to great teamwork! 

Players will need to bring the following equipment: Water bottle, shin guards, cleats, and proper rain gear if needed.

Equipment Provided by us: Soccer balls, cones, goals, and scrimmage vests.

Tuition: $115 for 7 weeks (Includes one Greater Seattle Surf T-Shirt)
